About James Ludes

James Ludes is one of Coal City’s longest-tenured and most trusted real estate brokers. The Designated Managing Broker/ owner of Hexagon Real Estate, James works primarily with buyers and sellers of residential and commercial property in Grundy and Will County. Buying and selling property can be stressful and confusing but James has made a career of educating clients and making the policy as stress-free as possible.

An always-available broker known for his extensive market knowledge and his unmatched devotion to clients, James’s business is built almost exclusively on positive referrals. He earns the trust of his clients by working endlessly on their behalf and educating them throughout the transaction process. He also utilizes the latest technologies and surrounds himself with similar-minded service partners. “I love my job. I love helping people buy and sell real estate. At my core, I’m a teacher and a coach. I get to help our agents be their best while helping my own clients realize their real estate dreams,” says James. He believes in the core business principles of: legal, ethical, and safe and absolutely nerds out for statistics, spreadsheets, and analytics. He believes every house should be listed with excellent photographs and advertised everywhere possible. “When someone trusts me to market their property, I owe them nothing but my absolute best efforts; all the high-quality pictures possible (including 3D tours, videos, and drone shots), up-to-date statistical analysis, and constant communication,” admits Ludes.

James grew up in Lockport and has resided in Coal City since 2002 when he graduated with an elementary education degree from St. Francis University in Joliet (the Stanford of the midwest). He serves on the Coal City Park Board board and various committees with the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®. He supports numerous local organizations and charities like PADS: Grundy County and Habitat for Humanity. You may know him from his time writing for the Coal City Courant, as president of the Coal City Soccer Club, coaching speech or soccer at Coal City High School, or by listening to his old podcast, Business. Casually. When he isn’t working, James enjoys cooking, concerts, sports (Broncos, White Sox, and Wolverines), and spending time with his family and friends (that he doesn’t see often enough).
